Ambrose Castellano is a rancher, a contractor, and a husband and father who has built his life in House District 70. His roots in this community run deep, and the values that shape his work are the same values that show up at every kitchen table in San Miguel and Torrance counties: hard work, family, and showing up for your neighbors.
Ambrose served as the Democratic representative for District 70 in the New Mexico House from 2021 to 2024. During that time, he focused on practical results: stronger schools, better jobs, accessible healthcare for rural communities, and real support for veterans and seniors. He sponsored legislation on construction safety, environmental protections, and the local industries that keep rural New Mexico working.
He is running again because the issues facing District 70 are not getting easier. Costs keep rising. Rural schools keep getting overlooked. Families are still driving hours to see a doctor. Ambrose believes this community deserves a representative who has lived its reality, and who will fight for it without the political games.
